Charles Kenneth Burton Sr. enjoyed quite the surprise at the Manatee County Fair's VIP luncheon. Invited to attend just as a guest of a friend, Burton had to address the gathering unexpectedly after being named the 2013 Distinguished Citizen.
His contributions to the community include service on many civic organizations and as Palmetto commissioner and mayor and as a Manatee County commissioner for a decade, the latter of which he is most proud. Our congratulations, Mr. Burton.
