Colt Ford's blend of redneck country and rural rap has proved highly popular, with him packing Bradenton's Joyland venue in 2011.
The heavyweight "hick-hop" artist, who performs at the Manatee County Fair on Friday, recently released "Declaration of Independence," which shot to No. 5 on the Billboard 200 while reaching No. 1 on the country survey.
The album includes the singles "Back and "Drivin' Around Song."
Ford's past hits, which date back to 2008, include "Ride Through the Country," "Cold Beer" and "Chicken & Biscuits."
