MANATEE -- A 26-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after detectives found child pornography on his computer, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Eric Boykin was arrested about 1 p.m. at his residence in the 6700 block of Ellenton Gillette Road after investigators executed a search warrant and found eight child pornography videos on his computer, according to a news release.

"The videos depicted sexual activity involving children as young as 4 years old, the release states.

The sheriff's office said it used "investigative techniques" to determine that child pornography was being downloaded to a computer at Boykin's residence.

Boykin faces eight counts of possession of child pornography, according to the sheriff's office.

Booking information for Boykin was not yet available on the Manatee County jail website.
