7 arrested after house burglary in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Seven people were arrested on burglary and other charges early Wednesday after deputies caught them in a vacant house in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a break-in at a vacant residence in the 1800 block of 25th Avenue East, where they found the suspects. They were arrested after the property owner confirmed they did not live there, according to the report.

One of the suspects, Marlon Capers, 22, was found to be carrying a concealed handgun. He was being held without bond at the Manatee County jail on charges of armed burglary and carrying a concealed weapon.

The other six suspects were identified as Christina Broxson, 19; Alexis Brinker, 19; Ray Benbow, 19; Cody Manning, 20; Justin Anderson, 24; and Demetrius Johnson, 19. They were being held on bonds of $7,500 each.

Booking information was not available early Wednesday on the Manatee County jail website.
