Pirates to host job fair for McKechnie

BRADENTON -- The Pittsburgh Pirates will hostMcKechnie Concessions Job Fairs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday at Pirate City. Numerous positions are open for 2013 Pirates Spring Training. Applications are also being accepted for the Bradenton Marauders season.

Job seekers who cannot attend either fair can apply for positions online at Careers.Pirates.com.

Nautical expo slatedfor Palmetto marina

PALMETTO --The Regatta Pointe Nautical Association will host 2013's first nautical expo in the Manatee/Sarasota region Jan. 26-27. This expo will be at the marina, 1005 Riverside Drive, as part of an ongoing effort to grow and strengthen the region's boating community. There is no cost for entry and countless more freebies for the public to enjoy.
