LeVine practices in the areas of commercial and business litigation, primarily in the representation of businesses, lenders, title insurance claims, real property litigation, contracts,and probate and trust litigation. Magidson is a member of the firm's business and health care practice groups, counseling clients regard-ing entity formation, business governance, business trans-actional and health careregulatory matters. As a member of the real estate practice group, Plummer focuses in commercial and residential real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial transactions and commercial leasing.

Insignia Bank announces the hiring of Lynette Warnars as a residential lending originator. She will be based out of Insignia Bank's office at 333 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota. Warnars has more than 25 years of experience in residential lending, 15 in the Sarasota/Bradenton markets.

New Century Sports, a parent corporation for New Balance Sarasota and University Park, Fleet Feet Sports Sarasota and Molly's A Chic & Unique Boutique recently announced the appointment of Tonya Getzen-Gowan

as its marketing and events director. Getzen-Gowan is one of the original founders of the Gecko's Grill & Pubs local restaurant chain and served as its marketing and public/community relations director for 20 years.

Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group, with offices in Sarasota and Bradenton, announced its top commercial real estate advisers and award winners for 2012. Mike Migone was named 2012 Adviser of the Year. Migone was a top producer for the firm. Other award winners were Debra Cooper for top leasing transaction; Shelly Crofut for top sales transaction; Linda Emery for most number of transactions, and Clint Conway for being the top producer.

Longboat Key resident George Skestos was reappointed to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees by the Florida Board of Governors for the State University System. His term begins immediately and runs through Jan. 6, 2018. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. Skestos was first appointed to the board in June 2012 to complete the term of the late J. Robert Peterson. Skestos is the founder of Homewood Corp., a residential building company based in Columbus, Ohio.

Lisa Youngerman has been hired as a marketing assistant with Brand Eleven. She will focus specifically on providing advertising and marketing support to existing clients as well as focus on expanding the company's reach.

The Lifelong Learning Academy at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee has hired Janna Overstreet as its executive director. Overstreet most recently served as the coordinator of the Academy of Lifelong Learning at Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill., and has taught upper-division psychology courses for Eastern Illinois and Lake Land College.
