Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o will not be speaking to the media on Thursday, at least not at IMG Academy, according to an email from an IMG Academy employee in Bradenton.
Numerous media reports said Te'o was in Bradenton preparing for this spring's NFL Draft on Wednesday when news broke that the girlfriend he said died during the football season never existed.
Yahoo! Sports college football writer Pat Forde tweeted Thursday that a source said Te'o will do a one-on-one interview with a single reporter. Forde later reported that ESPN's Jeremy Schapp would do the interview.
Media outlets across the country, including CNN, gathered across the street from IMG Academy waiting for Manti Te'o to make a statement or grant a press conference.
Te'o was a Heisman Trophy finalist this past college football season when the linebacker led Notre Dame to the BCS National Championship game against Alabama.
