Man charged with home invasion in Bradenton

January 14, 2013

MANATEE -- A 31-year-old man has been charged in connection with a home invasion robbery last month in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Centrell Turner was arrested Wednesday in Orlando, and transported to the Manatee County jail. He is charged with home invasion robbery and false imprisonment, and was being held on bonds totaling $125,000, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators say Turner on Dec. 12 forced his way into a home in the 4300 block of Fairfax Drive and demanded a woman give him money and other items. Turner then forced the woman into her bedroom closet and fled, according to an earlier report.
