SARASOTA -- Thomas Jeffery Miller II, 34, of Naples has died from his injuries from a Saturday night crash on Interstate 75.

About 7 p.m., Miller was traveling northbound, two miles north of Laurel Road, when he "failed to maintain control" of his 2002 Toyota Rav4, according to FHP. The vehicle entered the grass median where it struck several palm trees and overturned multiple times. It came to a final rest on its roof in the median. Miller was partially ejected from his vehicle. He was taken to Blake Medical Center by a Bayflite helicopter.
