BRADENTON — A restaurant patron was robbed Friday night in Bradenton, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reported.

The was was inside El Paisano, 5803 15th St E., at about 11:30 p.m. when a man walked up to him and snatched a necklace from around his neck, a news release said.

The men began to fight when security stepped in, broke up the fight and escorted the men from the establishment.

The suspect walked away with an unidentified female, the release said. The victim later told off-duty sheriff's deputies about the robbery but a search did not locate a suspect, described as five feet, 10 inches tall, 190 pounds, wearing a red shirt, and black and white plaid shorts.

The suspect was not injured, the sheriff's office said.
