United Way seeks help with tax filing
MANATEE -- The United Way of Manatee County is seeking volunteers to assist low- and moderate-income working families and individuals file taxes, claim credits and build their assets.
Working in partnership with Suncoast Community Capitol, volunteers will provide Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) by investing a few hours each week from late-January to mid-April and will serve as greeters/screeners or tax preparers.

Making government benefits work forum
LAKEWOOD RANCH -- The Financial Forum of LWR will be hosting BlackRock for a presentation on Making Government Benefits Work for You: Understanding Social Security and Medicare Benefits.
