What was the best business advice you ever received?

To never ever compromise your integrity. You must be honest and direct with your clients and opponents. This advice came from a judicial judge at my first job out of law school.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?

I would probably go to medical school as I was always very interested in science and it would be a wonderful way to combine policy and science. If that did not work out I would probably do something with high school teens, either working for a non profit organization or teaching high school.

What is the biggest risk you've ever taken in your career?

Moving from Nebraska to Florida in 2005 with no job. I was not really frightened but it was a risk and I had incredible confidence in my abilities.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?

I have two locations. I would take my father and my 10-year-old son to Kenya on a safari as my father always wanted to take a safari. And after that I would take my daughter to Italy.
