Annual MLK breakfast set for Feb. 16
BRADENTON -- The Manatee County Branch of the NAACP presents its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Breakfast with the theme "Recognizing the Struggle, Realizing the Dream" at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 at the 13th Avenue Dream Center, 922 24th St. E.
The speaker will be The Rev. Dr. Manuel Sykes, president of the St. Petersburg Branch of the NAACP.
Tickets are $30 for individuals or $240 for a table of eight.

Organizations can get help with spreading the message
Salt & Light Productions announces that the application deadline for cost-sharing grants ends Friday.
Salt & Light is offering customized video packages geared toward assisting organizations reach their financial goals for fundraising events by offering a number of nonprofits a grant that will subsidize a percentage of the production costs associated with this special opportunity.
