MANATEE -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday released security camera footage they say shows the man who robbed a 7-Eleven store early Monday.

About 1:25 a.m., the suspect entered the store at 4451 Tallevast Road and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk set the cigarettes on the counter, the suspect stated, "This is a robbery. I don't want to hurt anyone," states a news release from the sheriff's office.

The suspect added, "I'm already wanted. I know I'm on video. I don't care."

The suspect did not show or imply that he had a weapon, but the clerk did hand over $75 for fear of one, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect fled the store and got into a small dark-colored SUV on Lockwood Ridge Road.

The suspect was described as a man in his late 20s or early 30s, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a tan hat, according to the sheriff's office.
