It was halftime during the championship game of the Willie Clemons Holiday Classic at Southeast High School -- a tournament that has grown into an annual winter-break tradition for Coach John Harder and his Lady Noles varsity basketball team.
As they huddled together for a few last words of encouragement before heading back out onto the court, you could feel the pride and respect flow both ways.
For Harder, it's a scene that's been repeated hundreds of times in his 28 years of coaching at the school. Win or lose, the circumstances may change from year to year, but some things always stay the same:
You play hard.
You give it your all.
And when you work together, someone's always got your back.
Here's to Coach Harder and his winning team -- they beat Sanford Seminole 60-24.
