MANATEE -- Four persons having a cookout on the side of their house were robbed at gunpoint in the 5800 block of 8th Street Court East about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 27, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. There was no indication why the news of the robbery was not released until early Jan. 6.

The robber walked up the house, produced a small black revolver, and demanded money. The four victims cooperated, and three of them handed cash over to the suspect as he stood on the other side of a chain-link fence.

The gunman wore a black hoodie and had gold teeth, the victims reported.
