MANATEE -- Dense fog in some parts of the Bradenton area Wednesday morning was expected to give way to a mostly sunny day, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said there would areas of dense fog before 10 a.m., reducing visibility in some areas to below a mile. Once the fog lifts, there will be mostly sunny skies, with a high near 77 and south-southeasterly winds of 5 to 7 mph, according to the Weather Service.
Wednesday night, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 62 and southerly winds of around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Patchy fog is possible after midnight.
The next chance of rain could be Thursday evening. Forecasters said a cold front was expected to approach and move through the area, bringing with it a chance of thunderstorms.
