BRADENTON — A woman accidentally shot a gun at a home in west Bradenton sometime around the New Year, according to a Manatee sheriff's report.
No one was home at the rental at the time, and no one apparently was injured, according to the report. The home's renter told detectives the shooting occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. The shot went completely through the house.
No other collateral damage could be located. Patrol officers investigated, locating neighbors who witnessed people firing guns into the pond from the home directly behind the victim's address.
Pamela Bivens was interviewed at that address, and officers discovered Bivens accidentally shot a gun in the direction of the victims home, striking it.
A capias for culpable negligence was issued, the report stated.
