Sarasota Pizza Hut robbed, suspect escapes

Sarasota deputies are seeking a man in his 40s who robbed a Pizza Hut late Monday in Sarasota.

At 10:48 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to the Pizza Hut at 3251 Lockwood Ridge Road. Investigators found that the suspect entered the business and handed an employee a note demanding money. The note stated that the man had a gun. He was given an undetermined amount of cash before he fled on foot. No firearm was observed and no one reported any injuries, Sarasota deputies reported.
