BRADENTON -- Local authorities have found a 74-year-old woman who had been missing since earlier on Monday, according to Bradenton police.

Margaret Jane Maluse, who is visiting the area from Michigan, left a residence in the 3100 block of Southern Parkway about 7:30 a.m.

Shortly before noon, Maluse, who suffers from a medical condition, was found in Holmes Beach. Police said she had apparently hopped a bus to Anna Maria Island.

Police officers and Manatee sheriff's deputies had been searching for Maluse since about 9:15 a.m.
