Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate sales associate Barbara Ackerman in the company's Longboat Key office recently sold a home at 1219 Westway Drive on Lido Key for $6.35 million. The 12,000-square-foot, three-story estate was voted as one of Sarasota's Top 10 Most Beautiful Homes upon its completion in 2003. The five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bath Palazzo has 198 feet of frontage on the Gulf of Mexico, a private 30-foot dock, and private beach access.

Ruth Brown has been appointed Ashton Woods Homes' a new sales associate at Rosedale, a new community opening for presales Jan. 1 on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Ashton Woods Homes plans to build single-family homes priced from the $200s at Rosedale. Construction of the first model home at Rosedale will start in January.
