MANATEE -- Someone fired several gunshots at a parked -- but unoccupied car -- at a Bradenton apartment complex early Friday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. at the Desoto Village Apartments, 3810 Fifth St. Court E.

The car was struck eight times. Deputies recovered eight .40-caliber shell casings from the parking lot, according to a news release.

No one was injured and no other property was damaged in the shooting.
