MANATEE -- No one was hurt in an apparent drive-by shooting in Bradenton early Friday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 2:24 a.m., someone fired several gunshots at a residence in the 2100 block of 30th Avenue East, according to a news release.

The residents told deputies they were awakened by gunfire and the sound of a vehicle accelerating in a westbound direction from the residence. When they went outside, they saw what appeared to be five gunshot holes in the outside wall, according to the report.
