SARASOTA -- No injuries were reported Wednesday afternoon when a tractor-trailer jack-knifed on Interstate 75, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The truck was southbound on the highway shortly after 2 p.m. when the driver came upon slowing traffic near Sumter Boulevard due to an accident a few miles ahead, a news release said.
The truck driver said he applied his brakes and attempted an evasive maneuver when another vehicle cut him off.
The truck and trailer traveled off of the roadway and jack-knifed on the west shoulder of I-75, the release said.
No charges were filed, the release said.
