MANATEE -- A 13-year-old riding his bicycle was attacked by two Australian Shepherds and sustained severe injuries requiring treatment at the hospital, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
A 67-year-old man who came to the teen's aid was also attacked about 4 p.m. Monday in the 22600 block of Morning Glory Way, the sheriff's office reported.
Animal services responded and took custody of the animals.
