MANATEE -- A gunman robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store at 4427 53rd Ave. E. about 2:59 a.m. Sunday and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.
The armed robber was described as tall and thin, wearing a bulky, dark-color sweat jacket, two bandanas (one on his head and the other across the face), cloth gloves, a dark-color back pack and an unknown type of black firearm.
