4 hospitalized in Manatee vehicle crash after driver fails to stop for red light

MANATEE -- Four people went to Blake Medical Center after a 2005 Lexus ran a red light and crashed into a Chevy S10 pickup at the intersection of U.S. 301 and 38th Avenue East about 3:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Lexus, Stanley Jean, 29, of Bradenton, was charged with failure to stop for a red traffic signal and not having a valid driver's license, the FHP said.

The driver of the pickup truck, Jamie Ochoa, 22, of Bradenton, was charged with not having a valid driver's license.

Jean and two passengers in the Chevy pickup suffered serious injuries. The passengers were both ejected from the Lexus. Ochoa's injuries were reported as minor, the FHP reported.
