Before reopening in downtown Sarasota Dec. 29 for a staging of the sex comedy "Niagara Falls," the group behind the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre, PLATO, will continue producing shows at the Ramada Inn in Manatee County.

This weekend, PLATO introduces its team of seniors, the PLATO Platinum Players, performing their original variety show "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." It's directed and choreographed by Jared Walker, Eric Berkel and Helen Holliday.
