BRADENTON -- Traffic on Eighth Avenue West in downtown Bradenton is being slowed as police investigate a death Wednesday afternoon, according to Bradenton police.

Police and other vehicles are blocking a portion of the 1500 block of Eighth Avenue West, where detectives are investigating a death that may have been the result of a drug overdose, police said.
