HOLMES BEACH — Holmes Beach Police Chief Jay Romine is retiring.
The 52-year-old, who has spent 19 years as police chief of the Anna Maria Island city, said on Monday that his last official day is Dec. 20.
"I've had a great run," Romine said. "I know it is now time to move on."
