MANATEE -- A man was injured in a drive-by shooting in Bradenton late Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 11:33 p.m., the victim was standing outside in the 1900 block of 43rd Avenue Drive East, Bradenton, when someone in a passing SUV opened fire, striking the victim in the right knee, according to a news release.
The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office's gang unit was investigating the shooting, according to the report.
