Friday's game
USA Today readers overwhelmingly selected the annual Manatee-Southeast football battle as the top rivalry in the state of Florida, and the matchup advances to the regional competition, giving each school the chance to earn $5,000.
Manatee-Southeast received 1,255 votes, well more than second-place Naples Lely-Naples (205). Visitors to the newspaper's website may vote until 11 a.m. Dec. 12 in the regional competition. The four regional winners will compete for a $10,000 national prize to be split between the schools.
