Names and faces: News about business people in Manatee, Sarasota counties

Frank Posey Jr. has been promoted to market president for Central Georgia and Southern Florida Region for Bank of the Ozarks. Posey has 26 years of total financial experience. He is an eight-year resident of Bainbridge, Ga.

Harriett Hritz and Kay Johnson have joined Clarke Advertising and Public Relations. Hritz as art director and Johnson as a copywriter. Hritz has been creating inspirational designs for more than 27 years as an independent designer.

The South Florida division of PulteGroup Inc. recently promoted Blake Lapinsky to general sales manager in the Sarasota region, which includes five communities between Sarasota and Port Charlotte. Lapinsky joined PulteGroup six years ago as a sales consultant.

Members of the Manatee Glens Board of Directors celebrated President/CEO Mary Ruiz's 25 years with the organization. Deborah Kostroun, chiefoperating officer, also received honors for 20 years of service. The event included former board members who had served at various times over the past three decades.

Michael Fluker has been promoted to executive director at Suncoast Center for Independent Living. He had been filling the job as interim executive director for the past 10 months. He previously was chief operating/financial officer at MGJ & Associates in Sarasota and chief financial officer at Innovative Healthcare Management Services Inc of Sarasota.

Jami Holton has joined Morton's Gourmet Market as executive pastry chef. Holton has more than 26 years of culinary and restaurant experience. She graduated with a degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America in New York.

Blalock Walters attorney Ann Kathryn Breitinger has been elected to the board of directors of We Care Manatee Inc.

We Care Manatee addresses the increasing need of uninsured residents to be seen and treated by a medical specialist by providing a link to primary and specialty physicians who volunteer their time and donate free medical services.

Breitinger is an attorney in Blalock Walters' health care practice area.

Sean Lynch has been named to the position of senior consultant with Lead Star. Lynch will conceptualize, design and deliver leadership development solutions to solve client's business challenges.

David Foster has joined Wagner Realty's downtown Sarasota office. He has been a Realtor since 2000 and has an extensive background of varied real estate related experience including urban planning consulting, community renewal, economic analysis and property management with well-known organizations such as Helmsley-Spear of Illinois and the First National Bank of Chicago.

RE/MAX Alliance Group sales associates Barry Grooms and Stafford Starcher have graduated from the Florida Realtors Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy is a Florida Realtors program designed to identify, educate and inspire future leaders in a professional, supportive environment while advancing the principles of the Florida Realtors.
