MANATEE -- A burglar took more than $20,000 in jewelry and cash from a residence in the 4300 block of Pro Am East between 1 and 11 p.m. Saturday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.
Entry was through the rear sliding glass door while the victim was out visiting a friend.
Deputies dusted for prints and canvassed the neighborhood.
