BRADENTON -- The Mount Vernon Veterans Club has made the following donations; $500 to Community Coalition on Homelessness, to be used at the Stand Down, for homeless veterans. $100 to Our Daily Bread, and $100 to Salvation Army.

Postal carriers to collect toys Saturday

ter carriers will collect new, unwrapped toys Saturday left by customers' mailboxes to brighten the holidays for less-fortunate children.

Customers are asked to leave new, unwrapped toys by their mailboxes. Letter carriers will collect the toys as they deliver mail along their routes.

The toys will be collected for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.

Keller Williams Realty collecting food, toys

BRADENTON -- Keller Williams Realty of Manatee agents and customers have filled several barrels for The Food Bank of Manatee and also has a Toys For Tots barrel in its lobby at 4520 S.R. 64 E., in the Braden River Plaza. Anyone in the area is invited to stop by the office with food items or toys to donate.

Ranch dental office accepts Toys for Tots donations

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- Dr. Maribel Santos-Cordero, Dentistry for Children and Adolescents and Dr. Francisco Marcano, Sarasota General Dentistry, 7315 Merchant Court, Suite A, Lakewood Ranch, are hosting a drop-off site for Toys for Tots. Deadline for a new, unwrapped gift is noon Dec. 14. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday until noon, closed for lunch noon to 1 p.m.

Super Pawn collecting food, toys for holiday

BRADENTON -- America's Super Pawn, Inc., 5137 14th St. W., is sponsoring its second Season of Giving event benefitting All Faiths Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Manatee.

From now until Dec. 18, anyone bringing in a food or toy donation will receive a ticket to enter a drawing for a new Lenovo Ideapad laptop computer.

Food donations should be nonperishable. For more information, visit All Faiths' website. Toy donations should be unwrapped for children ages 5-18.

Ellenton Steakhouse accepts toy donations

ELLENTON -- The Ellenton Steakhouse, under The Ice Arena dome at 5309 29th St. E., Ellenton, is a Toys for Tots drop off point and the Food Bank of Manatee County location. Open 4-10 p.m. Tuesday - Friday and noon-1o p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Parmalee concert proceeds to help military

MANATEE -- One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Parmalee concert set for 10:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at Joyland, 5520 14th St. W., will go to ensure that every military family in the local area with an active deployed spouse in the Middle East gets a great Christmas.

Doors open for the concert at 7 p.m. Joyland will be working with Manasota Operation Troop Support on this project.
