Children's gift bazaar needs crafters, cookie makers
BRADENTON BEACH -- Christmas on Bridge Street organizers are looking for children who want to make extra money for the Christmas holidays.
Christmas on Bridge Street, set for 3-7 p.m. Dec. 15, benefits the area food banks and local animal shelters.
A big part of the event is a special children's gift bazaar where area school kids can sell handmade crafts, baked goods and holiday items, keeping all the profits for themselves.
Each kid crafter or cookie maker is charged a booth fee, which goes toward the proceeds for the charities. Booth fees are based on school age: elementary school kids pay $10, middle school kids pay $15 and high school kids pay $20. Each kid vendor needs to provide all the setup for their booth, including table and chair, and must be accompanied by a parent, school teacher or guardian. A consent form is required to be filled out by the child's accompanying adult.
