The Bradenton Blues Festival is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 1. Grammy Award nominee Ruthie Foster headlines a first-rate lineup that includes Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Neal and super group

Southern Hospitality, which is led by Bradenton Beach resident Damon Fowler. Dave "Biscuit" Miller, Johnny Sansone, Homemade Jamz, the Steve Arvey Horn Band with Henry Lawrence also a pair of local favorites and Ben Prestage round out the lineup. Palmetto's Christmas in the Park: Palmetto Historical Park, 515 10th Ave. W., Palmetto

Start your holiday festivities with an old-fashioned Christmas at Christmas in the Park 5-9 p.m. Dec. 1 with arrival of Santa at 6 p.m. each night. This free event offers vintage toy exhibits, creatively decorated buildings, kids' crafts, entertainment to activities including Letters to Santa, recipe collecting in park buildings, and photo opportunities with Santa. Twentieth Annual Sarasota Craft Show: Robarts Arena, 3000 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota

The 20th annual Sarasota Craft Show will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 1 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 2. The show will feature jewelry, ceramics, wearable art, wood, leather, metal, painting, glass, sculptures, mixed media, photography and more. Admission: $9 adults, $8 seniors, $5 students. Santa swoops into Manatee County for an early visit 4-7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and is bringing 10 tons of snow with him straight from the North Pole. This free fun, family event starts with Santa flying in by helicopter at 4 p.m. sharp. Visitors of all ages can enjoy a huge inflatable slide, bounce houses, a trampoline power jump, hayrides, cookie crafts and visits with the Jolly One himself. The Southwest Florida Figure Skating Club and Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex present their annual holiday skating Ice Show "My Favorite Things," 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Entre Nous will host its 35th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 1-2 featuring four of Bradenton's finest homes decorated for the holidays. The public will be able to shop local vendors selling affordable items at all homes. Canned goods will be collected at each home on the tour for the Food Bank of Manatee.
