The Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday released their Spring Training schedule.

The Bradenton portion of the Spring Training schedule starts Feb. 22 with an intrasquad game; and concludes March 28 with a game versus the New York Yankees in Tampa.

The schedule also features a March 5 game versus Team Spain, which will be in the United States for the World Baseball Classic.

Other highlights of the schedule:

-- The Tampa Bay Rays will play three games against the Pirates in Bradenton, Feb. 27, March 7 and March 22 (split squad).

-- The New York Yankees will make their only visit to Bradenton on Sunday, March 17.

-- The Boston Red Sox will visit Bradenton on Feb. 28 and March 18.
