Broadway and 'Glee' star Idina Menzel to show her 'poker face' at Straz Center in Tampa

Idina Menzel became a superstar on Broadway with her Tony Award-winning performance as Elphaba in "Wicked," following her Tony-nominated role as Maureen in "Rent."

She also starred in the 2005 film version of "Rent" and the 2007 Disney movie "Enchanted." TV audiences know Menzel as Shelby Corcoran on "Glee."

On Saturday, she will be performing her best known and most beloved numbers at the Straz Center in Tampa.

"I am so thrilled to be going back on tour this summer," she said in a statement issued by the Straz.

"I am eager to reconnect with my audience, perform my favorite songs and explore some exciting new material."

Menzel recently released the CD/DVD "Idina Menzel Live: Barefoot at the Symphony," which finds her singing material ranging from "No Day but Today" ("Rent") to Lady Gaga's "Poker Face."
