Michael Bolton will be at the Van Wezel on Saturday offering his hits from the 1980s and '90s, which are all basically boring pop renditions of soul classics like "When a Man Loves a Woman", "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" and "Georgia on my Mind."

Last year, Bolton released "Gems: The Duets Collections." The album finds him crooning with such like-minded artists as pop-country group Rascal Flatts ("Love is Everything") and smooth jazz trumpeter Chris Botti ("You Are So Beautiful").
