Emily Mingote

Senior, Braden River High School

Activities: Emily is an assistant entertainment editor of the Spyglass Newspaper but finds herself writing for a variety of sections. Emily is involved in other clubs and activities, and she holds a few leadership positions. She is the public relations officer of Student Government and the president of her youth group, and she was the co-captain of the varsity tennis team last year. Her musical interests include playing violin in Legacy Orchestra and singing in the praise band at her church. She is also involved in Tri-M Music Honor Society as a third year member. Emily is taking advanced placement and dual enrollment classes, producing the most out of her high school career. She has always enjoyed writing, and her passion for journalism grew her sophomore year after experiencing what it felt like to be a part of the production staff. To her, journalism is a great way to find a sense of family with others who share the same love.
