About the series

This is the first of a continuing series of stories that will explore the impact of school district decisions on educators, how teachers have coped with past and present district problems and what they believe needs to change.

SUNDAY: Lakewood Ranch High School teacher Larry Hickman loves his job, but is concerned about the new teacher evaluation system.

Monday: The Amer-I-Can program may have been cut next semester, but its facilitators are set on bringing it back.

Tuesday: Rowlett teacher Starloe Galletta plans ways to bring district leaders and teachers together.

Bradenton Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
