MANATEE -- An unknown person or persons fired six rounds into the hood of an unoccupied vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of 14th Street Court E. about 3:10 a.m. Thursday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The shooter fled the scene in an unknown direction. No one was injured.
