Foreclosure rates in North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota decreased for the month of September over the same period last year, according to newly released data from CoreLogic.
The data reveals that the rate of North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 10.52 percent for the month of September 2012, a decrease of 1.37 percentage points compared to September of 2011 when the rate was 11.89 percent.
Foreclosure activity in North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota was higher than the national foreclosure rate, which was 3.25 percent for September 2012.
Also in North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased. According to CoreLogic data for September 2012, 14.81 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 16.23 percent for the same period last year, representing a decrease of 1.42 percentage points.
