MANATEE -- The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the type of car involved in the death of a pedestrian Oct. 30.
The accident claimed the life of Erika Leigh Fortner, 42, of Venice, as she attempted to cross U.S. 41 at Montgomery Avenue about 12:18 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a 2011-2012, Maroon Chevy Cruze. The Maroon Chevy Cruze should have damage to the driver's front panel or driver's door area, and is missing the driver's outside rear-view mirror.
