Elderly Sarasota woman missing

November 19, 2012

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing elderly woman, who left her home in the 4100 block of Oakhurst Circle West between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, and hasn’t returned, according to Wendy Rose, community affairs manager for the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Hazel Rogers, 93, drives a 2002 blue four-door Buick LeSabre with a Florida license tag, U742DB, Rose said. She is not believed to be in danger, and does not have significant medical issues, but she typically does not go out for such a long time.

Anyone who sees Rogers or her vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1, or contact the Sarasota sheriff’s office non-emergency number at 941-316-1201.
