Manatee County Animal Services is trying to find new homes for three pit bulls after the owners were charged with animal cruelty.

The dogs were seized Sept. 19. After a hearing, Animal Services was given custody of the animals, according to a news release.

"We are asking for the public’s help in placing these dogs into loving homes," the release states. "The dogs did not ask for the poor treatment they received and they deserve a second chance to live and love. "
