A 66-year-old man reported to police on Monday that someone entered his Bradenton home sometime between March and Nov. 11 and took antique coins and an antique handgun, a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release said.

The victim had not been living at the Bradenton home in the 4900th block of 18 Ave. W. since March.

On Monday the victim realized that his safe was pulled away from the wall in the garage, the release said. A pry bar and sledge were possibly used to open the safe door, according to the release.
