Dave "Watchdog" Miner on Tuesday was elected to a seat on the Manatee County School Board.

With all 113 precincts reporting, Miner had 63.5 percent of the vote, and Robert Moates had 36.5 percent of the vote.

Miner, a Bradenton attorney, will replace Harry Kinnan, who is retiring.

Miner won the Aug. 14 primary over Moates and two other candidates -- but with less than the majority needed to avoid a runoff.
