MANATEE -- Four occupants of a house, including two children, escaped injury from multiple gunshots fired into a house in the 1400 block of 57th Avenue Drive East about 10:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Manatee Sheriff's Office.
Members of the Violent Crimes Task Force were on foot patrol when they heard multiple gunshots in the vicinity of 57th Avenue and 15th Street East. Calls to 911 began coming in that identified the house being attacked.
Deputies found spent casings in the roadway in front of home, which had multiple gunshot holes in the structure and a tire that had been shot out in the driveway. Several of the rounds penetrated walls within the house, the sheriff's report said.
There was a shooting at the same location last week.
